News from Neva Brunning re Newbury Apollo a Stunning Arabian Pony (Trincada Pridette /River Oak Impose At the 50th anniversary of the Avenal Horse trials he won the day (dressage,  show jumping, cross country) at this very special event in a very large class.

We have 3 foals so far this season:-  River Oak Issima has foaled a chestnut filly. This filly will be for sale on weaning.

Newbury Mystique Rose has foaled a stunning bay Arabian pony filly, which will be retained.

 

Windella Nefetari  has foaled a beautiful filly.

We are sad to announce the passing of Tallelee Maahkeesha at 24 yrs. We were hoping to breed another foal from her, but this was not to be. Her last foal, now rising 2ys was sold to Alison Knihinicki as  a sire & endurance horse. He is a stunning colt & we know he will do well for Alison.  Luckily he is not far away & Alison has consented for us to breed a foal from him when he is older, to continue this beautiful line.

Due to age & health, we are reducing our no’s. Please feel free to contact us with your requirements, as I may be able to help find what you are looking for. We are open to all reasonable offers.

We have all had a very difficult winter.  Here in the Central Highlands(1210 meters above sea level) the rain & freezing weather has taken its toll on our cattle & horses alike. Despite spending a fortune on feed & doing our best with shelter, we are all the worse for wear.

We lost our extremely special top ten Australian Champion stallion River Oak Impose at the ripe age of 13, despite being rugged, stabled, well fed & loved he still succumbed to the freezing conditions. He is irreplaceable. Alison Knihnicki purchased (before Impose died otherwise I would not have sold him) a very special colt Newbury Super Impose, he will do well for Alison.  She is keeping him entire and perhaps down the track we can use him. We do have a filly & a colt here to continue & of course we have River Oak Issima who is his 3/4 sister.

On a brighter note our new pony stallion has settled in well .we will try to get him out to some shows after Christmas, in the meantime we will be be breeding him to a couple of our very special broodmares. will be looking forward to the results next spring.

Newbury Zalima (- Arabian Park Egyptian Queen x Cherox Zalam) a sister the the 2009 shazada / heavyweight tom quilty winner has foaled a stunning colt x Simeon Segel (Anaza Bey shah)  with extreme presence & beauty, showing every bit of the quality of his pedigree.

He will be for sale on weaning.

Newbury Bandina (Banretta Cascade xRiver Oak Impact) has foaled a very special filly by Cherox Najiib. We will be retaining this filly.

 

Rochelle King Andrews of King Estate International Arabians is doing a wonderful job of bringing on Newbury Dark Knight. Rochelle & her husband Greg purchased Newbury Dark Knight for their Daughter Alessandra, as a future dressage pony. Rochelle has now decided to take Newbury Dark Knight on board  for herself instead, as you can see from the pics they are doing him proud.

Newbury Dark Knight is registered Arabian Pony & sect A Riding pony.  With his superstar action (inherited from his Gr grandsire Arjai Summitt) wonderful temperament & good looks, we feel he should reach superstar status under Rochelle’s guidance.
